Eatling Solids!

Lexi is growing up way too fast!  On mother's day, she and daddy not only made me breakfast burritos and poured mimosas but she ate brown rice cereal in the morning and then at dinner when the whole fam was eating burgers, brats, chips & guacamole Lexi reached out to try some of our food. So we gave her some avocado and what do you know, the baby girl loved it!  As we sat at the table and chewed, so did she. Looks like its time for a high chair!  We're such proud parents!

5 months old!

It has been over 5 months since I've updated Baby Dubstep blog.  As you all know, Baby Dubstep Trostle was born on November 28, 2011.  She came exactly 1 week early!  I think she was excited about all her fun outfits and toys waiting for her.

Now she's 5 months old and she is truly amazing!  She talks up a storm to anyone who will listen...I have no idea who she gets that from!  She is a social butterfly and loves to hang out with new people...again, I have no idea where she gets that from either.  She loves to play "where's Lexi", her Daisy Duck is her favorite stuffed animal and she probably thinks Grandpa is Santa Claus because she takes one look at him and starts to giggle.

Tummy time!

Just being cute!

April 28th, first pool experience and her 5 month birthday!

Counting Down the Days

December 5th is fast approaching but I get the feeling that my baby maker isn't quite ready to let go of this baby.  Maybe its those lively karate kicks I get in the ribs or the head butting of my bladder tricking me into thinking I need to run for the bathroom. Or its the wiggles she does when LMFAO comes on the radio. I love those wiggles but I want to see those wiggles outside my belly! C'mon baby!  Let us see that beautiful face of yours!
Nursery's been ready for weeks! All set with baby Simba, Pooh and Piglet

Can't forget about baby Dumbo and Lexi's 1st piggy bank

We can't help ourselves, shopping is too easy!!

Surprisingly the cats have not jumped in here

A few years too soon but we just couldn't help ourselves!

Baby's cooked!

She's cooked but she's not "well done".  Just a few more weeks left of filling out those cheeks and adding dimples to that precious little smile of hers.  Doc says she can be born any day now if she chooses.  But being that she is half made up of me, this little darling I'm sure is digging her heels (in my ribs) and staying put until her estimated due date.

Since the nursery is done and all her clothes are washed and put away we thought now would be a good time do some maternity shots.  My belly is at 97% capacity and the navel is popped out so over the weekend, our good friend Jeniece took some shots of the three of us and we got to see a sneak peak last night.  They came out so good and we can't wait to share them with you in the next few days.

Belly button!!

Belly button!
Whoa! That's a belly button!  Doesn't it make you want to push it? Just a little bit...Don't worry, it's all cleaned out now after 30 years of collecting lint so its okay to touch it. Just don't push it in too far or you'll make Alexis come out early!

Good stuff:
Lexi is a rolling wiggle worm and has discovered how to stretch out from head to toe. She loves music or at least that's what we've decided, she loves when daddy talks to her and she pushes my tummy out when we push in on her little feet.  It's a fun little game we play.  Oh, and Butta, our lovable kitty cat loves to give her hugs too.
Butta loving on Lexi
Not so good stuff:
Stupid headaches are still there and the back pain is still constant but the waking up in the middle of the night to acid reflux acting up is much less frequent now thanks to my doctor.

This belly dwarfs my boobs!
All in all, this has still been a pretty easy pregnancy and if how active she is in the womb is ANY type of indicator of how active she's going to be outside then we have an early riser on our hands and a play, play, play personality. I sure hope we can keep up!

6 More Weeks

The good stuff:
6 weeks! But it feels like a lifetime.  We want to meet this baby already!  Her room is almost done, she's got a complete wardrobe, toys, books, music (Lullaby renditions of Bob Marley)...now all we need is for Baby Dubstep to make her appearance so we can love her and hug her and carry her around all over the place.  She is going to be smothered with love and probably get annoyed by us and we can't wait!

The not so good stuff:
Chronic back pain is even less fun when your belly is bigger than your whole body, haha!  I had my first bout with swelling this last week and had to take my wedding ring off for 2 days.  I've had a headache since Tuesday that is nothing but a nuisance and I'm starting to walk like a penguin. OH! And when I eat, my boobs seem to be a catch all for food that doesn't make it all the way into my mouth. Maybe this one should go in "the good stuff".

Now that's a scary belly!!

Noticeably bigger every day

Pretty butterflies everywhere

More butterflies & her own stereo to play her own iPod...someone is spoiled...

Wardrobe...not including shoes and yes, that is a bicycle. What?

8 Weeks Left!

We have 8 weeks to go! Which means I have 4 more weeks of working before I can go on maternity leave and start nesting.

Her bedroom is coming along nicely too. A few accessories here and there, some shelving, laundering her magnificent wardrobe, thanks to you, and she'll have the best room in the house.  Can we say spoiled...

And as far as Baby Dubstep goes, she sure loves her music. Her favorite song right now being LMFAO's "I'm Sexy and I Know it" but we like to say "I'm Lexi and I know it".  She doesn't stop moving a whole lot.  She's pretty much always go-go-go and I love it. Even the occasional rib jabs that nearly bring tears to my eyes.

We can't wait to meet her!  In the meantime, here's a new belly shot showing off how big she's getting.

3rd Trimester!

We are in our 3rd trimester. 2 1/2 more months to go til we meet this dancing queen!  Baby Dubstep is a fitting nickname because this girl is rocking out in my belly! Don't ask me how, there's not much room in there but somehow she manages to get her footwork in.  I'm thinking future World Cup champion for sure!

Here is a preview of her room and the latest and greatest belly shot.

Last Week of 2nd Trimester

This is going by fast, I join the 3rd trimester club next week and Lexie is already about 15 inches long! 3 more months and we'll finally get to meet baby dubstep!

I did pass my glucose test so no gestational diabetes here, weight is on track thanks to my endless fresh fruit cravings.  Doc says its time to indulge in a little more red meat and according to the measuring tape and the doc, she is exactly the size she is suppose to be. We're pretty lucky. Not only are we gonna have the most awesomest baby EVER, I'm having a pretty easy pregnancy. Now lets just hope the delivery follows suit.

Ooh! Lexie's bedroom is almost done too with the exception of a few items still to come. We'll post some pictures of her room next week along with a new belly pic :)

Week 26

We're getting up there! Soon (if not already) I will be waddling around barefoot and pregnant. Which has been the way to go since its been getting so hot.  Hotter than our usual 75° at the beach and I can't wait for it to go back down.  I love it when its cold.

This week, Lexie kicked (or punched) daddy in the face so hard that it scared the both of us! It reminded me of that opening scene from Spaceballs...I thought for sure she was gonna jump out singing "hello my baby, hello my honey, hello my ragtime gal!" Despite the fright, those power kicks she gives are amusing. They usually send me into a laughing fit.  She only does it when Brandon puts his face on my belly too. Its like she knows!  Next on the agenda, start playing games with her to see how she reacts.

Here's a new pic. Its only been 2 weeks since the last one and its considerably bigger already. I have a feeling, this belly is gonna get HUGE! Haha!
